The Headline Generator

Your headline is the most-read line you own. We separate what makes you clear to humans from what makes you findable in search, then show you exactly what people actually see.

Not sure? Most experts are The Authority (build authority) or The Rainmaker (win clients).

The rule most people miss: the first 70 characters

Your headline can be 220 characters. But in search results, comments, connection requests and on mobile, people usually only see the first 60 to 70. So the front has to carry your role and main keyword. Everything after is a bonus most people never see. That is why the generator shows you the visible slice on its own.

Questions people ask

Why does my LinkedIn headline even matter?

Because it is the most-read line you own. It shows under every comment you leave, every post, and every time someone searches your name before a meeting. It is also the highest-weighted field in LinkedIn search. So it quietly decides who finds you, and whether they trust you enough to stay.

Will a better headline actually help me get found?

Yes. The headline carries the most weight in LinkedIn search. Put your role and main keyword in the first 70 characters, because that is all that shows in search results, comments and on mobile.

What is the difference between a headline and a job title?

A title describes you. A headline says what you do for someone else. "Consultant" tells a stranger nothing. "I help B2B founders stop losing deals to cheaper competitors" tells them everything.

How is this different from just asking ChatGPT?

It is built on LinkedIn's actual rules: the 220 limit, the visible-first-70 truncation, and how search weights the headline. And it is tuned to your goal, so you get a headline that works on the platform, not a tidy generic sentence.

Isn't a headline a bit... small to obsess over?

Your headline is line one of your whole personal brand. Get it right and you'll feel the next gap: your About, your positioning, your content. That is the work we do at The Trusted Voice, helping brilliant-but-invisible experts turn expertise into authority people can actually find.
